Appointment: ‘PM can choose anyone as governor’

Possibility of former Sindh CM Arbab Ghulam Rahim's appointment as Sindh governor comes under question

HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has the discretion to appoint anyone as the governor of Sindh, said chief minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah. He said this while talking to the media in Umerkot on Saturday, when he was asked to comment on the possibility of former Sindh CM Arbab Ghulam Rahim's appointment as Sindh governor. Rahim, who represents an influential family from Tharparkar, contested the 2013 general elections on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's ticket.
