Underprivileged region: Shehbaz for prosperity in south Punjab

He added the speedy completion of development projects was an extraordinary ability of the chief minister

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that development programmes worth billions of rupees have been initiated in southern Punjab as the region is very dear to him. The chief minister expressed these views during a meeting with Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana on Saturday, where different issues like the law and order situation and development projects came under discussion. Shehbaz said the government wanted to promote transparency, high quality and speedy completion of different development projects. “The government is working day and night to rid the country of different crises and will fulfill’ its promise of relieving the people of energy woes,” he was quoted as saying in a statement. Governor Rajwana said the Punjab government, under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, had taken effective steps for the protection of life and the property of the people. He added the speedy completion of development projects was an extraordinary ability of the chief minister and the people were fully benefitting from the development projects.
