Davis case: Victim's widow not satisfied with govt efforts

Zahra Faizan says the Punjab government is not working sincerely in the Raymond Davis case.

LAHORE: Zahra Faizan, the widow of one of the victims of the Lahore shooting case, stated that the Punjab government is not working sincerely in the Raymond Davis case. However, she expressed satisfaction over judiciary's role in the case.

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi also held a meeting with Zahra in Lahore.

Talking to media after the meeting, she said that she was not satisfied with the case as yet.

She demanded that the Punjab government should bring the culprits to justice and also thanked the PML-Q leaders for their support.

Meanwhile, Chaudhry Shujaat announced to bear the expenses of Zahra's family for life.

Javed Iqbal | 13 years ago | Reply I totally disagree with Misa statement and her hatred way of commenting on the issue. This is not a case of Muslim and Non-Muslim in the first place. I suggest Misa to first investigate deeply into this Davis affair and then opined. In this land of ours, Muslims are killing Muslims more than any one else. Still this land of ours is for everyone, irrespective of religion, caste and creed.

Oh it's good to be a Bandit's Family in Pakistan. If you rob somebody, you make off with the goods and if you get killed your family makes millions in blood money.

They were following him and when they came close, one of them pointed gun at Mr. Davis. Davis's action is the only way to challenge these robbers and terrorists. If you blink, then your end will be like people of Faisalabad and Peshawar. In Pakistan's current situation, only those live, who pull their gun first and shoot. American citizen, Diplomatic immunity, CIA etc. does not matter in this case.

Unless you want Mr Sanaullah the law minister to drag Raymond Davis to the village in Sialkot District and create the same situation. I am sure vested interest from the federal ministry has been feeding your perturbed mind. Be patient, let the courts do their job.

Shujaat) or these type of politicians will finally convince you to accept money against the dead body of your husband. Nation still remember his involvement in Lal Masjid and Late Sardar Bugti.

Assalam-o-Allaikum Warahmatullah.Very strange comments I read from both of you on this core issue.Highly respected sir Mr. Rohail please would you like to clear your point that do you have any solid and most authentic evidence through which you could prove that Zahra Faizan's husband was trying to kill the Raymond Davis.Whereas police interrogative reports show that the victims were not trying to kill the Raymond Davis.

Alarm | 13 years ago | Reply I like Bajwaz comment....Well rohail if ur comment is sarcastic then fine...otherwise...what could i say....just imagine even if ur ambassador killed a dog in US then u he would not be having any immunity anywhere....so gentlemen i think this man must rpent for his doinng...and i would agree with Zahra as Punjab govt and so is federal govt failed to bring out the killer in the other car...theyy might have flown away from Pakistan but they have commited a crime and govt is not asking about the culprits and so is US consulate is not helping

Ahmer Ali | 13 years ago | Reply Assalam-o-Allaikum Warahmatullah.Showing sincerity and honesty in Raymond Davis' case by the present corrupt and beggars leaders clearly means economic sanctions,Pak-US diplomatic relations clashes,blockade of $$$$$ as aid and most importantly Pakistani economy mostly depends upon US aid.No matter what the Pakistani nation thinks.Then how it is possible that our corrupt and beggars leaders shall justify in Raymond Davis' case with the victims families?
