Known for his outright opposition of Indian films and overly patriotic statements, actor Shaan Shahid has given a new proposal in the wake of the controversy surrounding ban on Indian films.

His views come a day after the prime minister formed a committee to enable the release of Indian films in Pakistan so that cinema owners stop suffering from financial losses.

Always put Pakistan film industry before my own career: Shaan

Shaan is of the opinion that if the ban on Indian movies is being lifted in Pakistan, then a committee should also be formed in India to ensure the release of Pakistani films.

Talking about it on his Facebook account, Waar actor wrote, "A humble request to the prime minister, sir if you are making a committee for the Indian films so they can be shown in Pakistan. Please make a committee so that Pakistani films can also be shown in India. Culture should not only be imported. It can  also be exported. Regards, a humble Pakistani, Shaan Shahid."

I want to bring Pakistan out of all the negativity, Shaan says

Vikram Solanki | 7 years ago | Reply We surely can explore a possibility of time slot from 6.00 AM to 9.AM allocated exclusively to Pakistani Films in all Single Screen Cinema Halls of Rural and Semi Urban India. This can be a good start I guess
Shifu | 7 years ago | Reply Pakistani films are super sub-par films equivalent to C-grade, no one's going to watch it in India. Come up with better products, if you want the customer to buy.
