Kismat Baig murder: 'Won't settle for anything but justice'
Sitara Baig wants film on sister's life
LAHORE:
Kismat Baig may have failed to defend herself but her sister Sitara has every intention of seeing her murderers through. In fact, she is planning to make a film on the murder of her sister and events leading up to it.
The actor was shot eight times on her way home from work recently. Sitara is determined to ensure that businessmen Rana Muzammil, Rana Tajammil and their friend Shahid Janjua -- the alleged culprits -- are held accountable.
“I know these people are very powerful but I am not afraid of them. They must be punished for taking my sister away,” the actor told The Express Tribune. “I will not compromise on this, no matter what happens in the future,” she said.

Although Rana, Muzammil and Tajammil are already under judicial custody, sources reveal that they have been trying to reach a settlement with Sitara, offering her properties in posh localities across Lahore to have the case withdrawn.
The Baig family, however, has been adamantly rejecting their proposals, saying they will not negotiate over Kismat's blood. Sitara has taken a break from acting to pursue her sister’s case. She is also the sole guardian of Kismat’s two children and has moved out of Lahore to ensure their safety.
“Kismat’s children are now my children. I have to look after them and that’s why I decided to relocate to another city,” shared Sitara. “It has been a draining task, particularly because as I am also not working. But I’ll return soon enough to make a film in my sister’s honour.”

“We come from a lower middle class family and are no strangers to hard work. Both Kismat and I struggled a great deal to achieve all the success that came our way. She worked till the very end of her life even in peril. I will get persevere too.”
