KARACHI:
Pakistan's undefeated Mixed Martial Arts fighter Ahmed "The Wolverine" Mujtaba will face the toughest test of his young career when he takes on Malaysia's Keannu Subba in a featherweight bout at ONE Fighting Championship's Throne Of Tigers event in Kuala Lumpur on February 10.

Mujtaba, who has an impressive 8-0 record, made his ONE FC debut in November last year and earned a unanimous decision win over Singapore's Benedict Ang.

The Quetta-native has again been pitted against a local favourite in the form of Keannu Subba, whose name will be familiar to Pakistani fight fans as he holds a notable victory over Bashir Ahmad's protégé Waqar Umar.

I will only fight for Pakistan, says MMA star Ahmed Mujtaba

Subba (4-2) submitted Umar in the very first of their three-round fight back in September last year following some impressive ground and pound.

He is highly unlikely to repeat the trick against Mujtaba though as he is at his most comfortable on the ground and is considered a bigger talent that Umar ever was.

The main event of a stacked ONE: Throne Of Tigers fight card will be a lightweight bout between another Malaysian Ev “ET” Ting and Iran's former UFC veteran Kamal Shalorus, whose résumé has bouts against world-renowned fighters such as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Rafael dos Anjos.
