Discussion: Seminar on robotic concepts held

LAHORE: A seminar on robotics was organised by the Virtual University of Pakistan’s Department of Computer Science to discuss the state-of-the-art robotic concepts and potential avenues of research and development for students in the country.

Dr Syed Atif Mehdi from Germany’s University of Kaiserslautern was the guest speaker at the event.

He gave an overview of robotics and its importance, especially in the context of Pakistan.

The seminar was also live streamed on YouTube while several students of computer science from other cities participated in the discussion through video link.

The seminar was aimed at enabling the students to get maximum practical exposure on modern day robotic technologies and familiarize with theoretical and practical aspects of Robotics. The event concluded with an interactive question answer session.
