Heroin recovered: Suspect held for drug possession

Shikarpur excise police recovered 1,100 grammes of heroin powder from the possession of a suspect who was arrested on Wednesday. The worth of the recovered heroine is believed to be more than Rs10 million in the international market. An excise police team, while searching a Karachi-bound Peshawar bus, found a suspect, Muaaz Khan Pathan, in possession of 1,100 grammes of heroin and arrested him. A case was registered against Pathan while further investigation is under way. Meanwhile, Sindh minister for excise and taxation and narcotics control Mukesh Kumar Chawla has directed his department’s officers to continue the campaign against drug peddlers in the province.
