Across province: Govt to spend Rs5bn to improve health facilities  

He added Rs131 million had been approved for the provision of different facilities

HAFIZABAD: Around Rs5 billion will be spent to improve infrastructure and to provide modern medical equipment in 25 District Headquarters (DHQ) and 15 Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospitals across the province.

This was revealed by Punjab Project Director Revamping of DHQ and THQ Hospitals Muhammad Usman.

He added Rs131 million had been approved for the provision of different facilities in the DHQ Hospital Hafizabad while Rs30 million had been approved for better infrastructure at the Trauma Centre Hafizabad.

Project Manager Planning Hafiz Mubshar-ul-Hassan said that an amount of Rs3.5 billion would be spent on 25 DHQ  hospitals, including Hafizabad Hospital while Rs1.5 billion would be spent for the improvement of 15 THQ hospitals and repair and renovation of existing machinery.
