Skill development: TEVTA to train youths in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: A four-month Microsoft training course is being launched in Bahawalpur for which admissions have started.

This was informed by Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar.

He said the Punjab government has launched a comprehensive programme to impart information technology training programmes to enable talented and energetic youths to get employment both in public and private sector.

The students would be trained under the supervision of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), he said, adding they would not only be trained free of charge but each student would also get stipend to the tune of Rs1000. The applicants should be above the age of 18 with matriculation qualification.

Iqbal said these training programmes are aimed at creating a solid, vibrant and energetic human resource base by providing modern skills to our younger generation.
