KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to focus on the politics of Sindh, especially Karachi, once they are done with the Panama leaks case in the Supreme Court, said central spokesperson of the party Fawad Chaudhary.

Chaudhary was addressing a press conference at Insaf House in Karachi on Saturday, along with PTI deputy secretary-general Imran Ismail and PTI Sindh senior leader Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh.

Expressing that the Panama leaks case is going into its final stages, Chaudhary said that it has been decided by PTI chairperson Imran Khan that the party is going to take the politics of Sindh seriously as Khan has previously been welcomed by the citizens of the province.

“PTI lawyer Naeem Bukhari will conclude his argument on Monday and after that it will be the lawyers of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who will continue with their arguments in court,” said Chaudhary, adding that Sharif was taken to court only because of the efforts of Khan and without him [Khan] the case would not have been in court just as previous cases of corruption were never highlighted.

The next fifteen days are very important as the case is likely to be concluded in these days and we will see what the court decides, said Chaudhary.

He said that there used to be a party that claimed to have roots in all the four provinces, but sadly, due to their bad governance and policies, the party was reduced to Sindh and has now been further reduced as a sub-regional party of interior Sindh.
