Veteran Indian actor, Om Puri’s sudden demise left the world saddened and shocked.

The 66 year-old actor had worked in numerous Bollywood, Hollywood and a Pakistani film. While the B-town has expressed immense shock on losing a legend, Pakistani celebs also mourned the loss.

9 times Om Puri stood up for Pakistan

Puri stood up for Pakistan many times, not supporting the ban imposed on Pakistani artists from working in India being one such instance. This inclination did not settle well with some people on twitter, who started celebrating his death on the micro-blogging website.

Celebrities pour their hearts out after Om Puri’s untimely death

Infuriated at this, Indian actor, Swara Bhaskar, gave them a perfect response.

She started by expressing grief, ” Tragic tragic tragic! RIP sir.. Exceptional artist! But legends do not die.. they live 4ever.. I cudnt work with u, my great regret!,” she tweeted.

My contribution will be visible once I leave this world: Om Puri

The actor then responded to haters by saying, “Witness the masquerading as who have neither decency nor humanity.. This man made more proud than any of u!”

She went on to say: The sheer filth that parades as these days. did more 4 as an artist than u faeces in human form will ever manage..

Puri died of a massive cardiac arrest early Friday morning.

He was a great actor. Along with great actors like Nasiruddin Shah, the character roles he did are unparalleled. Please ignore the scum that derogate such great people. He was a great actor who didn’t get the recognition he deserved (along with likes of Avtar Kishan Hangal, a great Pakistani actor and freedom fighter from Peshawar, who was equally abused by Pakistanis because he was Hindu).
Leave these petty things aside. Celebrate the man.Recommend

Om Puri may have been a good actor- he was not a patriot. His comment about slain Indian soldier will not be forgotten.

Total non sense. Mr. Hangal was imprisoned because of communist ties not because of religion. Recommend

You can trust a Punjabi Hindu about as much as a Punjabi Muslim. Absolutely no difference. Wonder why Sikhs are not like that. Recommend

On Puri was publicity hound. who was bitter in the end because he did not get the fame and money that he always wanted. He had issues with family, friends and peers in industry. He died a broken and bitter man. Learning for all of us how not to live life.Recommend
