Interior ministry denies Sanaullah's Blackwater charges

The Interior Ministry denied charges leveled by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah regarding issuing visas to the personnel of foreign security agency Blackwater.

A ministry spokesperson said there is no company under the name of Blackwater registered in Pakistan neither was it ever operating in the country.

The spokesperson asked Sanaullah to present evidence to prove his claims or withdraw his statement otherwise he would be served a legal notice.

The Punjab law minister had earlier held Interior Minister Rehman Malik responsible for the activities of Blackwater in Pakistan.

Sanaullah had claimed the Malik had issued visas to Blackwater personnel deliberately.

Mulla Toofhan | 13 years ago | Reply Punjab Govt. needs to pull up their socks, The Punjabis are suffering the most under this Govt. The Punjabi Taliban the Lej and the other terrorist group have been allowed to flourish and carry out murder and mayhem with impunity against Punjabis. The Sheriff Govt. has not dealt with this problem seriously and seem to be avoiding to confront them. Instead of blaming other parties for their inaction and inability to control these forces they should crackdown on these group with the help of the army if need be and cleanse Punjab of them.
Aftab Kenneth Wilson | 13 years ago | Reply Black water or any other colored water is not so important. The Black Role which Mr. Rana Sanaullah is playing must be looked into from all angles. A person and his leadership which is well known for having soft corner towards nurseries of terrorists in Punjab are not rendering any good services neither to the nation and nor to the country. This province is totally on some unknown page and is not willing to understand both local and foreign policies. Faulty signals are now coming out of Punjab and the international community is not sleeping. If we read and watch their media the same is done by them.
