Dismembered victim: Woman, son held in murder case

A special team headed by the Bani Gala DSP succeeded in arresting both of the accused

ISLAMABAD: The police have arrested a woman and her son for their alleged involvement in a murder case. An unidentified dismembered body was found stuffed into bags in some shrubbery at`Jagiot Road in the Bani Gala area on June 2013. Following this incident, the Bani Gala police station registered a murder case on June 18, 2013, against unidentified persons and started investigations. Police later identified the victim as Sher Ghani, a resident of Katlang Tehsil in Mardan District. Later, Ghani’s brother Gul Nawaz nominated Zakir Gul and his mother Nadia, residents of the same tehsil, in the case. The suspects escaped soon after. A special team headed by the Bani Gala DSP succeeded in arresting both of the accused. The police obtained physical remand from the concerned court and further investigation into the case is ongoing.
