Gorakh Hill festival

Letter January 06, 2017
I urge the chief minister of Sindh to look into this unfair practice

DADU: Gorakh Hill is situated in the lap of the Khirthar Mountain in Sindh. While it is also known as the Muree of Sindh, this hill is very different than the rest of Sindh. At the start of 2017, a festival was arranged at Gorakh and hundreds of tourists came to visit. Unfortunately, due to our anarchic and corrupt systems, most tourists had sleepless nights outside on a helipad in freezing temperatures because the hotel rooms were booked for blue-eyed persons of a member of the National Assembly. In Wahi Pandhi, a town about 50 kilometres from Gorakh Hill, a small bottle of mineral water is sold at about Rs20, but the same bottle was sold at four times that price on the Hill. I urge the chief minister of Sindh to look into this unfair practice.
