Quetta protest: Oil tankers body go on strike

Protest against the detention of a large number of vehicles at Quetta entry point

QUETTA: The oil tankers association have gone on strike here on Tuesday in protest against the detention of a large number of vehicles at Quetta entry point by the Pakistan Customs and the Frontier Corps. All Pakistan Oil Tankers Association claimed that the oil tankers were bringing needed supplies for Quetta and northern areas of Balochistan from Karachi to beef up the supplies and improve the storage facilities while the Customs officials claimed that they were reportedly smuggling Iranian petrol and diesel for which the oil tankers were detained.
