This time, however, it seems like old has become the new, new. 2016 has seen many trends of the 80’s and 90’s make a comeback. What we mean to say is that you really ought to check in your mother’s trousseau because chances are that whatever’s in there is bang on trend now.

1. Bell bottoms
After a very long reign of skinnies, bell bottoms or flared trousers are back, straight from the 70’s. In fact, the bell trend has even managed to make it to our sleeves! We might have trouble accepting this immediately but celebrities like Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have already been seen sporting bell bottoms for a while now so don’t wait too long before purchasing your first pair!
2. Kiran
You might have laughed at your mothers wedding pictures for wearing a super shiny dress with fringy lace called Kiran on her wedding day but the jokes on you! Kiran is very much back in fashion, albeit after almost two decades. If you don’t believe us, just Google what actor Sanam Saeed was spotted wearing on the day of her nikkah.
3. Winged eyeliner
This makeup trend is known to be a part of Cleopatra’s daily routine as a method to ward off evil. Whether it fulfills that purpose or not, we don’t know. What we do know is that it makes our eyes look sharper and prettier every time. The cat eye trend has been in and out a few times over the past decade or so but it looks great. Take cue from Taylor Swift and Angelina Julie on how you can style it.
