Six FC personnel injured in roadside blast in Quetta

At least six Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were injured on Monday in a roadside blast in Quetta's Western Bypass area, police officials said.

Initial reports revealed that a vehicle of Frontier Corps (FC) patrolling the area was the target of the attack. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri took notice of the incident.


10 killed in Quetta blast targeting FC

Last month, a manhunt was launched for suspects involved in a roadside blast that targeted a two-vehicle FC security convoy and left an FC subedar injured. A police official said the blast occurred near Dhando Pul on the main Mohmand-Shabqadar road as the convoy was travelling to Peshawar from Mohmand Agency.

A police official said an improvised explosive device had been planted along the road. FC Subedar Najab Ali was injured in the blast which left one security vehicle partially damaged.
