He said this while talking to the media during his short visit to Charsadda.
He lamented that India is threatening Pakistan by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, but there isn’t a foreign minister to respond to the Indian propaganda.
Speaking on the appointment of the NAB chairman, he said that the chairman of the anti-graft body should be appointed by the courts instead of the prime minister and the opposition leader.

He added that this would ensure that the chairman is accountable to the courts instead of the prime minister.
He also urged the Supreme Court to resolve the Panama leaks case or else his party will be compelled to protest on the roads.
He said that 2017 will be the year when the courts will decide on the Panama leaks and other corruption cases.

He described the government as corrupt and added that it has failed to secure itself over corruption charges. He also added that JI is against plea bargains, as this leads to corruption.
Regarding the military courts he said that they were not the solution, adding that we should strengthen the civilian courts instead of giving out extensions to the military courts.
