He alleged the police misbehaved with the family and ransacked his house. There was no legal justification for the police action as none of his family members were wanted in any case, he said, claiming a raid without warrants at the residence of a judicial officer amounted to contempt of court.

LHC Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah ordered converting the complaint into a writ petition and instructed Justice Mazahir to hold proceedings in the case.

In a separate case, the judge also summoned DPO, DSP and Jalalpur Bhattian SHO while hearing a complaint against police torture on a court bailiff

The complaint was filed by district and session judge Hafizabad. The judge directed the three police officers to appear on January 2, 2017.
