Deadly turns: Six killed, four injured as jeep plunges into ravine

MANSEHRA: Six people, including two women, were killed and four others were injuries when a jeep they were travelling in plunged into a roadside gorge near Mansehra on Thursday.

Police and eyewitnesses said that the jeep was travelling to Garhi Habibullah from Tarnawai. While trying to negotiate a sharp turn, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell into the deep ravine. At least four of the passengers were killed on the spot, while six others were seriously injured.

Rescue workers shifted the injured and the bodies to a hospital in Garhi Habibullah, where two injured people died.  The injured were later referred to Ayub Teaching Hospital in Abbottabad, where the condition of two was listed as critical when this report was filed.
