One of the most anticipated films of the year, Amir Khan's Dangal has also become a victim of piracy.

The film has met a terrible fate as it has been leaked online days after its official release, Indian Express reported.

According to sources, a man named Hashmi Ah hailing from Dubai, leaked the entire film online and managed to gather forty million views and over 50 shares on Facebook.

Aamir Khan's transformation for Dangal proves he's a perfectionist

However, to the maker's relief, the video has been reported and removed from social media.

This is not the first time a Bollywood film has been pirated right after release. Previously, Salman Khan’s Sultan and Shahid Kapoor's Udta Punjab also faced piracy issues.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

The film was released on December 23 and grossed Rs 30 million around India in the first three days.

Is the fate of Dangal now in the hands of PM Nawaz?

It is important to note that Mr Perfectionist had undergone intense physical training to fit the role of wrestler, Mahaveer Phogat in the film which portrays Mahaveer’s story at different stages of his life.
