Omni Group denies its offices raided

Omni Group stressed that none of its companies were involved in any unlawful activities

KARACHI: The Omni Group of Industries has said that the offices raided by the Rangers on Friday did not belong to it.

In a statement released through Barrister M Jamshid Malik, the group said that the arms and ammunition cache recovered by the paramilitary force were not recovered from its offices. It added, of the five person arrested mentioned in the press release issued by the Rangers, only two were affiliated with the Omni Group and the rest had no connection with it.

The Omni Group stressed that none of its companies were involved in any unlawful activities. “Our companies are carrying out business activities strictly as mandated by and accordance with law.”

“We strongly refute each and every allegation mentioned against us in the press release of Sindh Rangers. We also appeal to the government of Sindh to carry out independent and impartial enquiry in respect of today’s events, and further appeal to the courts to provide us the justice and security from undue victimisation,” the statement added.
