MANSEHRA: The police have registered criminal case against the unidentified owners of 16 hand grenades which were found hidden in a well in Khwajgan village, police officials said here on Wednesday. Mansehra DSP Zulfiqar Jadoon said that the water level of the village well had gone down several feet and it had become unusable. To clear it, locals hired the services of two labourers for desilting. While working, the labourers recovered 16 hand grenades wrapped in a polythene bag and informed the police. The DSP told that the hand grenades were live and some miscreants had probably temporarily hidden them in the well. He said that the police have defused all the grenades and registered criminal case in Khaki Police Station.
