Shah said this while speaking to newly appointed Karachi Corps Commander Lt-General Shahid Baig Mirza at CM House on Wednesday.
He said that his government was committed to implementing the National Action Plan (NAP) in true letter and spirit. The apex committee was constituted under the chief minister to implement the agenda developed in the NAP.
The chief minister said that Sindh has the honor of having held 17 apex committee meetings in which effective strategy was evolved to launch a targeted operation against four major crimes - terrorism, targeted killing, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
"When the operation was launched everyone - the members of the apex committee, law enforcement agencies, federal government and its concerned agencies - were on board, therefore the operation produced the best results," said Shah. Lt-Gen Mirza assured the chief minister of his support to make peace in the city sustainable.
Both reiterated that the operation would continue till the last terrorist is eliminated.
