While some celebs floundered with dismal singing debuts, others unashamedly likened themselves to Bollywood superstars. From reverse sexism to lousy collaborations, The Express Tribune presents the top four facepalm moments of 2016.
When Urwa Hocane thought she could sing
Urwa Hocane's debut single Ao Lekar Chaloun literally left us speechless. The Udaari actor, who recently tied the knot with long-time beau Farhan Saeed, appeared in a ruffled pink dress and failed miserably.

When Taher Shah did a cameo in a movie
As if we had not had enough of Taher Shah and his preposterous songs, he decided to give acting a shot. A 'resplendent' Taher made a fleeting appearance in Pakistan's first online movie Oye! Kuch Kar Guzar as a love guru. Yep, you read that right. We were just as dumbstruck as you.
Did Taher Shah just make his acting debut?

When Sahir Lodhi spoke about his 'uncanny resemblance' to King Khan
Sahir Lodhi spoke about his ‘uncanny resemblance’ with King Khan soon after the trailer of his first movie Raasta was released. The actor revealed that he had even questioned his father about it. “For all those who compare me to Shah Rukh Khan, we just look alike. There is nothing more to it. Even he has addressed the comparison now.” But, it was what he said next that left the audience in splits. “I even ask my father whether Shah Rukh is his son or I am. He says I am.”

When an all-girl flash mob spectacularly backfired
Looks like Do Your Own Thing’s all-girl flash mob did not receive the outcome they had been hoping for. The flash mob decision to come together in Lahore’s Anarkali Bazaar was thought as being in poor taste by many. The idea of promoting women empowerment by dancing in a crowded market left others baffled. This one misfired, clearly.
Fashion brand comes under fire for all-female flash mob in Lahore
#DYOT objectifying women in front of men in a crowded bazaar is the exact opposite of feminism. Promoting shamelessness isn't cool !!

Ruling the world by dancing on the street? Like seriously? #DYOT
