Christmas preparations: Foolproof security ordered

KARACHI: Officers were directed to take effective measures for eradication of encroachments and illegal parking along roads on the eve of Christmas by deputy commissioner East Asif Jan Saddiqui and District Municipal Corporation East chairperson Moeed Anwar on Tuesday. The volunteers and security agencies should coordinate with each other in this task, they added.  During a meeting with Christian representatives, Anwar said that foolproof security measures and other facilities for minority’s worship places will be ensured. Advance salary will also be paid to Christian employees in district east so that they celebrate their festivity in peace, he added.
