SUKKUR: Education minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has claimed that every possible step is being taken to implement the education emergency in letter and spirit. Talking to the media in Sukkur on Saturday, he said that for this purpose he has started visiting different districts and meeting with education officers.

"Our top priority is to get all the children to school and make efforts to reopen the closed schools," he explained. "To ease things, schools and colleges have been divided and placed under two secretaries," he said, adding that expert and trained teachers will be appointed in all colleges and schools. Dahar said that they are straight forward people and do not believe in political u-turns. "The Pakistan Peoples Party has always supported democracy and democratic institutions and our history is full of struggle and sacrifices," he said. "If the federal government doesn't accept our chairperson's [Bilawal Bhutto Zardari] four demands, then he will chalk future strategy," Dahar added.
