ISLAMABAD: In what could be a move to appease opposition members of the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday removed the controversial Syleyman Warraich from the post of Member Administration.

According to a notification issued by Establishment Division, the apex body responsible for transfers and postings of civil servants, Yasir Pirzada - a BS-19 officer of Inland Revenue Services posted in the Federal Board of Revenue- was transferred and posted as CDA Member Administration on Friday. Member Administration is a post usually occupied by a BPS grade-20 officer. Warraich, a junior officer in grade-19, was serving as the CMO in the IMC and had been given the additional charge of Member Administration.
