KARACHI: Karachi Development Authority (KDA) director-general Syed Nasir Abbas has warned the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to return their 290 vehicles or else they will initiate legal action. According to a press statement issued by KDA, there are 290 vehicles which were being used by KDA until June 30, 2002 and are still KDA's property and the KMC officials are using them illegally. If these vehicles are not returned to the KDA, Abbas said that they would initiate a legal war against KMC. These vehicles include dumpers, wheel-loaders, excavators, Toyota Hiluxes, mobiles, shovels, jeeps, Pajeros and several other kinds of vehicles. From July 2002 till 2011 and until 2016, the KMC had been using the revenue of the KDA.
