BDS dismantle suicide vest recovered from the suspect; search operation launched
HYDERABAD:
A suspected suicide bomber was killed while another escaped as Rangers thwarted bid to enter an Imam Bargah and shrine in Hyderabad on Friday.
Police spokesperson said the incident occurred near Amani Shah graveyard in Latifabad when the suspect hurled a hand grenade towards a Rangers mobile and tried to enter Imam Bargah during Friday prayers. However, he was shot dead before he could enter the religious facility, he added.

Rangers also recovered a suicide vest from the suspect which was later defused by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) in the said graveyard.
Meanwhile, Rangers and police cordoned off localities in the vicinity to search for another escaping suspect.
The dead body of the suspect, who is yet to be identified, would later be shifted to Civil Hospital for a postmortem.
