In protest: Prosecution employees boycott work for the day
Demonstration against authorities for not fulfilling their demands which included payment
LAHORE:
The employees of the prosecution departments boycotted work on Wednesday. They were demonstrating against authorities for not fulfilling their demands which included payment of overtime allowance and recruitments on seats.
While talking to The Express Tribune, the president of the prosecution department employees, Muhammad Zeeshan, also complained that no worker has been promoted since 2006 and nor has any allowance been given to them.
All Pakistan Clerk Association Punjab President Sharafat Gujjar said they will continue to protest until their demands are met. “No one from the authorities has come to us to ask why we are protesting,” he added.
District Public Prosecutor Azhar Hussain Malik said the legal demands will be discussed with senior officials and the illegal ones will not be entertained.
