Just like Facebook, you can now go live from your Twitter app as well.

“Live video is the most immersive way to experience what’s happening around the world...we’re making it easier for you to broadcast live video - straight from Twitter,” said the company in a blog post on Wednesday.

All you need to do is to compose a tweet and tap “LIVE”. This will bring you to a pre-broadcast screen where you can frame your shot. When you’re ready, press “Go Live” to start broadcasting.

Instagram introduces live video, vanishing direct messages

“Once you’re live, anyone on Twitter and Periscope can join your live video and participate in your experience,” the statement added.

The update will be rolled out to everyone on Twitter in the coming days, and will be available on both iOS and Android.

Users watching a live video can post comments and send hearts to show support by simply tapping the screen. The feature is quite similar to that of Facebook Live.
