This is exactly the void -- FUDO, a Pakistani take on American-Chinese cuisine, aims to fill. Situated in Bukhari Commercial, the 30-seat restaurant opened in October. The eatery, which has managed to carve a niche for itself, is the brainchild of Mujtaba Shahbazker, Raheel Vayani and Azeem Vayani.
While the menu may come across as rather limited, the fare is appealing.
The Crispy Garlic Prawns (Rs350) come in just the right amount of sauce. The piquant prawns marry well with the sharp tomato sauce infused with garlic.
The FUDO Special Chicken will leave you awed. You know you're in for a treat when the Chicken in white sauce is sautéed to perfection and complemented by juicy onion and capsicum. At just Rs350, the Chicken Manchurian makes for a good, filling main.
The eatery also offers imported iced latte. To top it all off, the restaurant aims to increase the variety of fare on offer to further tickle customers' taste buds.
FUDO also offers pocket-friendly combo meals. The pleasant restaurant features several wooden tables crowded with stools. For the aged, chairs with back support are available on request.
Disclaimer: Lack of space and the inability to accommodate wheelchair-bound guests are major spoilers.
But, if you’re low on funds, you now know where to head to.
