Junaid Jamshed's funeral prayers to be offered at Moin Khan Academy Ground, Karachi

Body of former pop star Junaid Jamshed, who lost his life in PIA's December 7 air crash, has been identified.
According to deputy commissioner Islamabad, Jamshed’s body was identified by forensic experts through dental history and face x-ray.
The singer-turned-religious scholar was travelling from Chitral to Islamabad in flight PK-661 when the aircraft crashed near Abbottabad, killing all 48 people on board.

Addressing the media outside his residence in Karachi, Humayun Jamshed said, they would wait for DNA results till Wednesday, following which they will bring Junaid's body to Karachi.
"We will wait for DNA results which are likely to come by Wednesday, following which we will bring Junaid's body to Karachi." Humayun further announced that Junaid's funeral prayers will be offered at Moin Khan Academy Ground, Karachi.
"As per Junaid's wishes, he will be buried at Darul Uloom Korangi in Karachi," Humayun added.
PIA chairman resigns following PK-661 crash
Earlier, officials at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences handed the body of Junaid’s wife, Nahya Jamshed, to his relatives. As many as 13 bodies of the crash victims have so far been identified, and all results of the DNA profiling are expected to be received by December 17.
Meanwhile, reports suggested Jamshed’s funeral prayers will be held at religious seminary Darul Uloom Karachi. His brother is expected to collect the body from Islamabad on Wednesday.
