Faulty Stitching: Man files Rs500,000 damages suit  

Waseem complained the tailor refused to re-stitch the clothes properly

LAHORE: A consumer court has issued notice to a proprietor on a plea seeking damages of Rs500,000 for stitching flawed suits. Petitioner Muhammad Waseem has claimed that he went to Javed Ameen’s shop in the Ravi Road area for getting his clothes stitched. The tailor after taking his measurements asked him to collect the suits in one week. When the plaintiff visited the shop after the given time, the shalwar-kameez had not been stitched properly. Waseem complained the tailor refused to re-stitch the clothes properly. He requested the court to direct the respondent to pay the damages for ruining his clothes.
