Left-armer claims three wickets in two overs after Pakistan bowled out for 208 in first innings

Fast-bowler Mohammad Amir produced a magical spell as Pakistan ended their first of the three-day tour match against CA XI on a better note in Cairns on Thursday.

The left-armer picked three wickets in his two overs against CA XI, where he claimed the first two in first two deliveries, whereas fellow pacer Rahat Ali picked one scalp as the hosts finished the opening day on the score of three for four in reply of visitors 208 in their first innings.



Earlier, Pakistan had another disappointing outing with the bat after captain Misbahul Haq won the toss and opted to bat first.

The Green Caps were clearly in trouble right from the beginning, with only veteran Younus Khan making a notable contribution of 54 off 138 balls, which included four boundaries.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed also scored a useful 39 off 65 balls, as the visitors lost their last five wickets for just 58 runs.

For CA XI, all-rounder Cameron Valente picked up four wickets, while right-arm pacer Mark Steketee picked up three.
