Since long, singer Adnan Sami has been in the news for proclaiming his unconditional love for India.

He has now revealed why he is extremely fond of Indians and sought Indian citizenship, Deccan Chronicle reported.

"I am a very emotional person. Koi mujhse pyaar se jaan maang le, toh woh bhi de dun. If someone asks for my life with love, I'll give it away. Indians have given me immense and unconditional love and I am very grateful. That was why I decided to apply for an Indian citizenship," he said.

The singer was speaking to media during a wellness event, when he spoke at length about his life. Adnan also got candid about his equation with his father and his journey as a musician.

"I started playing piano at the age of five, and that was without my parent’s knowledge because they had asked me not to even touch the piano. However, when my father came to know about my interest in music he supported me throughout," he said.

Adnan also shared that he was never apologetic about how he looked.

"Because my relationship with my audience was of music and I always managed to please them. But, the change came in when my father took me to a doctor for a general check-up and after going through all my reports the doctor said that, it wouldn’t surprise him if my parents found me dead in a hotel room someday," he said.

"When we were back at home, my father told me that he didn’t want me to die before him. My father has been my greatest inspiration and support system, and him saying this was a wake-up call for me," he added.

Previously, Adnan had been rapped after he pledged full support for the Government of India and the nation's military after the Uri attack.

Arthur | 7 years ago | Reply Why are you all so upset about? Remember about 70 years ago your family was Indian too. Who cares where one decides to reside , I will bet if any of you have a better chance in a foreign country , you will jump at the chance. Plus my understanding is Pakistani government refused to renew his passport.By the way I am not Indian before you all start cursing.Think logically and outside the box, you will be better off getting along with people then hating everybody.
pakone | 7 years ago | Reply Gimme a break. He's there for money only. I know his family inside out. He should tell his Indian "brethren" that his father Arshad Sami was a Pakistan Airforce fighter pilot war hero during the 1965 war. And then became Ambassador to multiple countries representing Pakistan! Adnan and his younger brother Junaid are both mentally demented fat idiots who havent had a single hit song in over 15 years. Pakistan is producing amazing musicians daily on shows like Coke Studio, Nescafe basement, Levi's rock....list is endless. Stay in India Adnan Sami - you know what you are. Useless. Cheers.
