LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge has sought comments from the South Cantt SHO in a petition seeking registration of a case against a doctor whose alleged negligence caused a miscarriage. Petitioner Naseem told the court that he took his wife to Geo Hospital a few days ago where a doctor, Ambar Qureshi, injected her with a wrong medicine. He added the condition of his two-month-pregnant wife deteriorated. The doctor then told him to arrange Rs15,000 for treatment. Naseem said he arranged the money but the doctor then aborted the foetus. He approached the area SHO, but it was of no use. He filed the petition, requesting the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against the doctor.
