LAHORE: The Palestine football squad was irked by their movement in the city being restricted due to the security situation. The Express Tribune has learnt that the visiting players demanded a city tour without the security provisions planned for them. However, they were denied access due to the rising security concerns in the country.

Reportedly, the tourists, opposing the decision, decided to proceed without informing police officials. Following this breach, an application was moved from SP Model town division to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), demanding the PFF to not take the movement of the players lightly.

The federation was also directed to chalk out a route plan for the team and the number of security personnel required.

However, Palestine team Protocol Coordinator Arfan Niazi reassured that the security will remain tight and the team will only be allowed to travel with the necessary security arrangements intact.
