“We are all human, we are all in the creative field and we all want our films to do well and get the best response. But things don’t always work out. I think you learn to deal with it with experience and age,” Bollywood.com quoted him as saying.
Sidharth revealed it is important for actors to understand that they cannot be appreciated all the time. “It can’t always be an upward graph. It’s the swinging that makes actors more resilient. For me, it’s a great learning experience to understand that anything good or bad doesn’t last very long. Actors can’t live off the success and failures of the past. They have to move on.”
Although his last outing Baar Baar Dekho, alongside Katrina Kaif, did not set the cash registers ringing, Sidharth does not regret signing the film. However, he feels he is always critical of himself. “In terms of my performance, I could have definitely done better. But, I have no regrets. Everything has scope for improvement. If you show me a scene from one of my films, I will never be happy with it,” added the 31-year-old Ek Villain star.
Sidharth mentioned that he makes sure to thoroughly read a script before signing a film. While he likes to try his hand at different roles, there is always a lot of thinking and reasoning involved in his decisions. “I try to do different things and choose from what is offered to me. There is a great deal of thought behind my decisions. And once I make up my mind, I don’t regret anything.”
