A step forward: ‘PEEF will help provide quality education’

BAHAWALPUR: Education is the only way towards speedy development and the Punjab government has taken revolutionary steps to provide it to the youth.

Provincial Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said this while addressing a ceremony held in connection with the Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) at Islamia University, Bahawalpur on Friday.

The CM said the fund has put the foundation of quality education in the education sector, opening its doors to the children of low income families.

He added Punjab government has taken a step towards filling the gap between the poor and rich by starting this programme.

He maintained Rs17 billion funds for 200,000 students will help in securing the bright future of Pakistan.

“This project started from Rs2 billion seven years ago. Now, PEEF scholarship has increased to Rs17 billion,” the chief minister said.
