Castro transformed Cuba into a welfare state, providing excellent health facilities and education to Cubans
RAWALPINDI: Fidel Castro wasn’t just a leader, he was an ironman who showed how to revolutionise a small nation. Once an audacious guerrilla fighter, he became the leader of Cuba and helped the tiny island country cast a long shadow on the USA, a world power. He always looked to the USA with a daring eye.
Castro transformed Cuba into a welfare state, providing excellent health facilities and education to Cubans. Even though a dictator, his people will always remember his legacy. I pay tribute to the extraordinary legacy he left behind.
