Well played: UVAS organises 14th annual sports event

A number of events are organised on the last day of the event

LAHORE: Sports activities are an integral part of education and education without sports is incomplete, said former hockey player and Olympian gold medalist Dr Tariq Aziz Khawaja.

He was speaking at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore’s 14th annual sports day which was organised at the City Campus Sports Ground on Wednesday evening.

A number of events, including final races of various lengths for boys and girls, three-legged race, javelin throw, shot put, long jump, triple jump, discus throw, tug of war and a martial arts presentation/gymnastic show were organised on the last day of the event.
