Over 2500 children of overseas Pakistanis will benefit from this concession, a statement said on Tuesday following the 137th meeting of OPF Board of Governors.
Overseas Pakistanis can now apply for passport renewal online
The board unanimously approved a constitution for Overseas Pakistanis Advisory Council (OPAC) comprising overseas Pakistanis throughout the world.
The meeting also approved to celebrate a week of overseas Pakistanis from December 18 to 23 in connection with the international day of overseas Pakistanis.
The participants also resolved to initiate an e-learning pilot project in United Arab Emirates (UAE) to provide education to children of overseas Pakistanis.

The board also permitted to take initiative to establish a Commission in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to protect rights of Kashmiri expatriates.
Earlier, Chairman OPF Board of Governors Barrister Amjad Malik said Pakistani expatriates were playing vital role in improving the economy of the country and deserved special attention. He reiterated that provision of more facilities and resolution of problems being faced by overseas Pakistanis was a priority of the government.
