This was said by speakers during a seminar on Bulleh Shah in Faisalabad on Tuesday. The event was arranged by the Department of Humanity and Linguistics, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad at New Senate Hall.
While chairing the session, Punjab Institute of Language Arts and Culture Director General Sughra Sadaf said, “Sufi poets have played a vital role in spreading the message of peace and tolerance. Bulelh Shah propagated the message of peace and taught people to establish a relationship with Allah.”
She maintained, “Punjabi is the tenth largest language in the world but in our educational system, the language is being discouraged.” She suggested introducing Punjabi as compulsory course in the curriculum across the province.
She said people must be enlightened with message of sufi saints to get the right path and face the challenges in life.
