After being asked to bat first, Pakistan were restricted to 97-7 in their allotted 20 overs as Abidi and opener Ayesha Zafar (28) were the only two batters who made significant contributions.
For India, Ekta Bisht took three wickets, while Anuja Patil and captain Harmanpreet Kaur claimed two scalps each.

In reply, India reached the target with five wickets and four balls to spare as Mithali Raj scored 36 runs at the top of the order, while Kaur contributed an unbeaten 26 to get her team across the line.
For Pakistan, Nida Dar and Sadia Yousuf dismissed two batters each, while Sana Mir had to suffice with a single wicket.
“Our inability to build strong partnerships led to the defeat,” said Pakistan Women captain Bismah Maroof. “We remain optimistic for the next few matches and are confident of winning and making it to the next round.”
