Bodybuilding : Pakistan squad leaves for Thailand

23-member contingent will compete at 8th World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation Championship

KARACHI: Pakistan’s 23-member contingent will compete at the 8th World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation Championship, which commences from December 1 in Pattaya, Thailand.

As per Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation (PBF) President Sheikh Farooq Iqbal, the bodybuilders left for Thailand yesterday and over the next three days will compete in different events including masters, juniors and fitness categories.

“We have a good number of bodybuilders participating in this championship so we can win a lot of medals,” Iqbal told The Express Tribune. “Last year, Sattar Khan ended our seven-year medal drought, so we have increased our participants as it gives us a better chance of winning medals.”

The top bodybuilders who are expected to be vying for medals are Fida Hussain and Waqas Tariq.
