Patriotic appeal to generals

Letter November 28, 2016
My sincerest congratulations to the newly appointed Chairman JCSC and the COAS

RAWALPINDI: All top four generals up for selection were course-mates and fine, professional generals highly respected in the army. In fact, seniority within a course is not that significant as between different courses. So, the selection of two is not an adverse point for the other two. Interestingly, US General Omar Bradley fought under General George Patton in North Africa and vice-versa in Europe. Generals fight for their countries.

My sincerest congratulations to the newly appointed Chairman JCSC and the COAS, and to the other two generals for reaching such a coveted high rank in the army. It is an excellent professional team for the defence of the country at this critical moment.

I humbly appeal to the generals to kindly maintain this excellent professional team and not let anyone go home on retirement when the country is facing a serious threat both from internal and external enemies.
