This was decided in a meeting of the PTI held at Bani Gala on Sunday under the chairmanship of Imran Khan. The meeting was attended by its leaders including General Secretary Jahangir Khan Tareen, Shafqat Mehmood, Shehzad Waseem and Ali Zaidi.
The meeting discussed the proposed 24th Amendment and the Panama leaks case being heard in the Supreme Court.
Khan said: “The ruling party was trying to pass the 24th Amendment by taking advantage of the absence of the PTI in parliament.”
He said his party will not let the rulers get through with the amendment and has decided to consult other political parties on the issue. “In this regard the PTI has decided to end boycott of standing committees.”
